City & Guilds Training Course
This 3-day course introduces the 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), the standard that governs all electrical installations in the UK. It covers key requirements for working safely across domestic, industrial, and commercial settings.
It is intended to:
• Cover key areas of BS 7671: safety, equipment selection and erection, inspection, testing, and special locations
• Equip electricians and related professionals to work safely and in compliance with current UK regulations
• Support core industry standards, Registered electrician status, and ECS card eligibility
Please note:
The primary publication required on the day of the course is the Requirements for Electrical Installations, IET Wiring Regulations, Eighteenth Edition, 18TH EDITION BS 7671:2018+A4:2026 IET WIRING REGULATIONS. You must have this prior to the course, to take along with you.

- The purpose and principles of BS 7671, including who the regulations apply to
- Key terminology and definitions used throughout the regulations
- Assessing sites and equipment before installation
- Safety requirements and protective measures
- Selection, installation, and erection of electrical equipment
- Inspection and testing procedures for compliance
- Requirements for special installations and locations
- Practical revision and exam preparation
- City & Guilds 2382-26 online assessment
City & Guilds courses are delivered by HSS Training at City & Guilds accredited centers.
Delegates successfully completing the City & Guilds 2382 examination will be issued with a certification by City & Guilds.
