CITB Training Course
CITB refreshment course giving an update on legal responsibilities for health, safety, welfare and environment in the workplace, delivered via Virtual Classrooms.
This course will provide delegates with improved and refreshed knowledge of recent developments in construction, legislation and health, safety, welfare and environmental issues. It will also allow delegates to identify measures which will assist the practical implementation of responsibilities established by new legislation and working practices.
This remote learning and examination option for the market-leading Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme Refresher (SSSTS) course has been created to allow delegates to gain and develop the required knowledge outside of the classroom.

Individual written test with explanation of pass requirements.
CITB courses are delivered by HSS Training at CITB accredited centers.
Only those delegates who hold an existing Site Supervision certificate and can provide evidence before attending the course are eligible to attend the refresher course.
If no evidence of previous SSSTS certification can be found, you will have to attend the full Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course. Your certificate must be within 6 months of expiry and not expired. If expired, you must attend the full SSSTS course.
Assessment
The trainer will conduct an online exam with all delegates via video communication on Microsoft Teams. The exam time is 30 minutes, the delegate must be visible via the video at all times and you are permitted to refer to the supporting publication, Construction site supervision (GE706), during the last 10 minutes of the examination period.
Delegates will have 30 minutes to answer all 25 questions. The first four questions are safety critical - you must answer all four correctly to pass the exam.
Certification
Delegates successfully completing the course will be awarded a CITB Construction Skills Certificate valid for five years.
They will then need to undertake a refresher course prior to the expiry date on the certificate to obtain another five-year certificate.
Delegates are required to complete the full 1 day (7.5 hours) to be eligible for certification.
For all SSP courses the default delivery method for certificates will now be digital, meaning hard copy certificates will not be sent.

Information for Employers
Our Training Partners are an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) with CITB, allowing our customers to claim grants for completing training on our registered courses. The CITB levy and grants scheme has been introduced to ensure the UK construction industry has the skilled workforce that it needs; providing grants for employers to train their workers. This helps to maintain health & safety standards on construction sites, keeping the right skills available for the industry to grow. In turn this will allow projects to be completed on time and within budget, in a safe and sustainable manner.
